In January, a new sculpture park opened up in Seattle. It promises a rotating crop of sculptures, and has a lovely waterfront park. This happened to be a particularily clear and beautiful day for one of the days of the opening weekend, and the crowds were out in force.
Another part of the park.
Seattle has its famous Pike Place Market, shown here. In keeping with the city's hippy bent, there are lots of farmers markets throughout the city, some all year round.
